About this project

A multigenerational home where two family stories come together and belonging is lived every day.

This project explores how two separate family stories can come together within one home, creating a sense of belonging where every individual feels valued, supported and connected. Rather than focusing solely on luxury, the design prioritises meaningful relationships, emotional wellbeing and the everyday rituals that shape family life.

Guided by the DVR Design Triangle, Blue Zones principles and a human centred design approach, the home balances shared spaces for connection with private areas for retreat, independence and personal expression. Natural materials, abundant daylight, biophilic elements and a warm, timeless palette create a calming environment that supports the needs of a blended, multigenerational family.

Ultimately, the design is about more than accommodating a family. It creates a home where relationships can grow, individuality is respected and belonging is experienced through everyday life.
